- URDC developed this project, that translated
and adapted over 600 pages of Canadian agricultural business
material
- The material was used in conjunction with
the agricultural curriculum developed in 1993.
- The texts produced covered the areas of
agricultural marketing, agricultural economics and finance,
production, risk management and human resources management.

- URDC developed this project to improve
upon existing curriculum for 6 Ukrainian agricultural colleges,
including farm management and horticulture work.
- URDC coordinated the work of MacEwan College,
Old's
College, Lakeland
College and the University
of Saskatchewan to implement the project.
- The agrarian-based education syllabus
that resulted was approved for use in Ukraine by the Ukrainian
ministries of Education and Agriculture, and was used in
Ukrainian classrooms beginning in 1993.

- URDC introduced this program designed to
support private agricultural development in Ukraine
- the project placed 70 Ukrainian farmers
with Canadian farm families to gain hands-on experience
in farm management, and participate in training workshops.
- led to the emergence of the Alberta Ukraine
Agricultural Exchange Society, a community organization
which took over directorship of the project after 1993.
