Continuing Professional Education for Social Workers

In response to the need for ongoing professional development opportunities, the Social Work Program program offers continuing education for social workers and other helping professionals. Learning activities are designed to develop and enhance social work knowledge, skills, and contirubte to ongoing professional development in the context of rapidly changing service delivery. The program also delivers custom and on-site training and supports the professional development acitivities of the Alberta Association of Registered Social Workers.

  • GMCC Health & Community Studies / Ma'Mowe Children's Services Authority - Joint Symposium, June 15, 16, 2000.
  • AARSW Annual Conferenece, March 16-18, 2000, Edmonton.
  • A new course, Ethical Issues for Social Workers, is under development (completion June 2000) in conjunction with the Alberta Association of Registered Social Workers.
